Rarely do we provide some important facts and tidbits on how to save money and save gas, but the automotive landscape is slowly shifting in favor of smaller and more fuel efficient cars.

A large majority of car makers are also downsizing their engine options. Take the new <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">2012 Ford F-150 for instance. The optional Ecoboost 3.5-liter V6 engine produces more torque than the 5.0-liter V8, and it achieves better fuel economy than the much larger V8 engine.

Rising gas prices takes the fun out of driving, since it will basically cost more to operate or drive your vehicle. With that being said, here are some fuel saving tips that will help you to save gas and save money–all while still enjoying every minute of your drive.

1. Roll down your windows and minimize the use of air conditioning, especially during the cooler months of the year. Recent studies have shown that driving with your windows down at speeds of less than 45 to 50 MPH will help you save 15% of your fuel.

But don’t make it a habit to drive on the highway with all your windows down: the same study has shown that driving on the highway at speeds in excess of 50 to 60 MPH with your windows down will actually consume more fuel.

This is because the rolled-down windows will affect the aerodynamic performance of your vehicle.

2. Try to keep the tachometer needle between 2,000 and 2,500 RPM when driving your car. If you drive a manual, try to keep your revs between this mark before changing gear so you can minimize your fuel consumption.

If you have an automatic car, then simply feathering the accelerator pedal (instead of stomping or pressing hard on the gas) will help you to achieve better fuel economy.

Since the computer will actually be the one to shift the gears in an automatic vehicle, pressing lightly on the gas pedal will tell the computer that you want to achieve better fuel economy, since modern automatic transmissions will analyze your driving habits and adjust the performance accordingly.

If you make it a habit of abruptly pressing the gas pedal, then your automatic transmission will assume that you want a sporty driving experience every time–not that this is a bad thing, but sporty driving habits will also result in poor fuel economy, even if you drive a mundane compact car.

We have more fuel saving tips in the next post. Check out updated lease offers for all new vehicles in your zip code so you can choose a more fuel efficient vehicle on your next <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">car lease.

The Lincoln brand is more than just an American cultural icon; it symbolizes American luxury. New Lincoln vehicles are now made more capable, more powerful, and more fuel efficient.

Here are updated lease offers for 2013 Lincoln vehicles.

2013 Lincoln MKS

Lease offer for the Lincoln MKS starts at $428 per month for 24 months, with $0 due at signing and $0 security deposit.

The 2013 Lincoln MKS was redesigned and further improved to deliver a more engaging yet luxurious driving experience. The new MKS receives major styling updates along with a few tweaks to the engine and the suspension.

2013 Lincoln MKX

Lease offer for the Lincoln MKX starts at $424 per month for 24 months with $0 due at signing and $0 security deposit.

The 2013 Lincoln MKX is based on the Ford Edge compact SUV, but it gets more luxury features and quieter cabin compared to the Ford Edge. If you want a small luxury crossover, the 2013 Lincoln MKX deserves a second look.

2013 Lincoln MKT

The 2013 Lincoln MKT is currently offered at 0.9% APR for up to 36 months, and 1.9% APR for up to 40 months.

Check out the latest lease offers for the Lincoln MKT at the nearest <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Lincoln dealer.

Part station wagon and part luxury crossover SUV, the 2013 Lincoln MKT now gets a more powerful V6 engine along with improved seats and more standard safety features.

Leasing a Luxury Car

Luxury vehicles are one of the best vehicles to lease because:

1. They are more expensive compared to normal cars, and you don’t need to pay for the entire purchase price just to drive home a decent luxury car; and

2. Leasing allows you to only pay for the depreciation of the vehicle (don’t forget that luxury vehicles will usually depreciate slower compared to other vehicles, hence providing you with lower monthly payments).

You can save money on your new luxury vehicle by:

Maintaining a good history of credit.

Shopping around before signing the lease contract.

Negotiating the MSRP or the invoice price of the vehicle.

Intelligent leasing starts by knowing all the latest lease offers in your zip code. Find your next <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Lincoln auto lease by simply requesting a lease quote from CarLeasingSecrets.com.

Cadillac vehicles provide premium luxury at an affordable price. If you want to drive a new Cadillac, but find it to be a little bit above your price range then why not try leasing instead.

Leasing a new Cadillac is more affordable because you don’t need to make a huge down payment. You also get lower monthly payments because in a new <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Cadillac lease, you don’t pay for the price of the vehicle–you only pay for the lost value of the car until the lease expires.

Here are current leasing offers for all new Cadillac vehicles:

Cadillac CTS

Cadillac CTS sedan – lease offer starts at $299 per month for 36 months and $1,999 due at signing.

Cadillac CTS coupe – lease offer starts at $349 per month for 36 months and $1,999 due at signing.

When Cadillac created the CTS, they wanted a car that is powerful and agile enough to compete with top European sedans. The Cadillac CTS–whether in sedan, coupe, and wagon trim–remains a solid choice for a premium sport-luxury car.

Cadillac SRX

Cadillac SRX – lease offer starts at $399 per month for 36 months and $2,999 due at signing.

The Cadillac SRX is a crossover SUV that was built for today’s roads. It is roomy, quiet, comfortable, and of course luxurious.

Cadillac Escalade

Cadillac Escalade – lease offer starts at $749 per month for 24 months and $4,900 due at signing.

In today’s world, crossover SUVs are more popular than traditional large SUVs, but the Cadillac Escalade is still a top pick if you really need a large luxury land barge.

Cadillac XTS

Cadillac XTS – financing offer starts at 3.9% APR for 60 months.

The 2013 Cadillac XTS is all new. It replaces the Cadillac STS and the Cadillac DTS in the lineup. The XTS is easy to like because it is supremely luxurious, high-tech, and exhilarating to drive.

Lease tips:

1. The lease price is negotiable. You should negotiate the lease price similar to how you would negotiate the car if you were to buy.

2. Pay attention to the annual mileage limit. If you frequently take long trips, then buying a new car might be a cheaper option.

Find <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">new Cadillac prices before talking to the dealership so you can negotiate the lowest possible price for your new car.

It is never easy to deal with a low credit score. Other people find it difficult to get approved for a new car loan or car lease because they have no credit history. Whatever the case, you can still lease or buy a new vehicle if you have bad credit and no credit.

You might ask yourself: ‘Wont I get charged with a high interest rate?’ Yes. Lenders need to compensate for the risk factor that comes with bad credit and no credit leasing. If you have bad credit, lenders will look into your payment history and will assess the interest rate based on your credit worthiness. If you have no credit, lenders have no idea on your capability to pay debt. These are just some of the reasons why it is only natural to expect a higher interest rate.

Want to get an affordable car lease, even with bad credit and no credit? Follow these simple tips so you can enjoy low monthly payments and possibly lower interest rates:

1. Improve your credit score. Bad credit buyers need to make some improvements on their credit history even before approaching the dealership. Calculate how much you earn and how much you spend on a weekly basis and make some adjustments to your spending habits. Paying all your debt in a timely fashion is also a good idea.

2. Get a co-signer. This applies to bad credit and no credit buyers. The co-signer should be a relative, friend, or co-worker with a relatively high FICO score. Remember that the co-signer is not part of the car lease or the auto loan. Lenders like the fact that they know who to turn to if you fail to make your car payments.

3. Save money. Making a down payment is a sure way to get lower monthly payments. If you are a bad credit or no credit buyer, you will probably need to pay more. This serves two purposes:

a. Lenders like the idea that you are willing to pay additional money to lessen the risk factor of the car lease or the car loan; and

b. Making a larger down payment will give lower monthly payments, hence cushioning the impact of higher interest rates.

4. Choose a vehicle with the highest amount of rebates and incentives. Simply said, choosing a car with huge cash discounts and marvelous incentives will also give you more savings, whether you have bad credit or have no credit history.

5. No-credit buyers should present their utility bills, phone bills, paycheck stubs, and bank statements to the dealership.

You can still get an <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">affordable car lease even with bad credit and no credit. Choose your new car wisely and keep your credit report free from errors so you can enjoy the lowest lease rates in your town.

Not surprisingly, Jeep vehicles can also be used comfortably on tight city roads, making it the ideal urban vehicle. They are also more capable than a compact crossover SUV.

Looking to lease a new Jeep? Here are the latest <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Jeep lease deals for June 2012:

Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass is a stylish, rugged, and affordable small SUV. The Jeep Compass has a lease price of $139 per month for 39 months with around $3,000 due at signing.

Jeep Liberty

The Jeep Liberty is a more rugged alternative to a compact or midsize SUV. The Jeep Liberty has a lease price of $169 per month for 36 months with around $3,200 due at lease signing.

Jeep Wrangler

When it comes to all out off-road abilities and sex appeal, it is hard to argue with the Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler has a lease price of $209 per month for 24 months with around $3,000 due at signing.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is an excellent midsize SUV. Lease prices for the Grand Cherokee starts at $219 per month for 39 months with around $3,300 due at signing.

Jeep Patriot

The Jeep Patriot is fully capable off-road but it also happens to be affordable. The Jeep Patriot starts at a lease price of $129 per month for 39 months with around $2,700 due at signing.

Getting an Affordable Car Lease

Getting a cheap car lease starts at the residual value. The Jeep Wrangler in particular was rated as the vehicle with the highest estimated resale value of 68% after 36 months. Since the residual value will be deducted from the MSRP to get the lease price, a vehicle with a high resale value will be cheaper top lease.

You should also maintain a decent level of credit. In order to get low interest rates, you need to have an average credit score. The higher the score, the lower the interest rate (or sometimes called the money factor rate).

All <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Jeep lease deals are valid until 7/2/2012. Contact your favorite <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Jeep dealer to know more.

One of the secrets in getting low monthly payments on your car lease is to select a vehicle with a high residual value. This is because the residual value will be deducted from the sticker price of the car, giving you the overall lease price.

Lease a cheaper car, and you get low monthly payments. If you lease a car with a higher residual value, then you can enjoy lower payments and great value for money.

Sport-utility vehicles are one of the best cars to lease because they are more expensive than normal cars. But there are some luxury SUV’s that stand out from the rest when it comes to future resale values. Here are the top 2012 luxury SUV’s with the highest residual value according to <a href="http://www.kbb.com/"target="_blank">Kelly Blue Book:

Audi Q7

Audi may be late in the SUV game, but it pulled-off a miracle with the Audi Q7. Since we are talking about an Audi, the Q7 has impressive levels of build quality and craftsmanship that perfectly blurs the line when it comes to plush luxury and inherent sportiness.

With prices starting at around $46,500 the Audi Q7 offers a lot of bang for the buck. The standard 3.0-liter V6 engine produces enough motivation to push the Q7′s lofty curb weight. The Quattro all-wheel drive system offers tons of grip even on slippery surfaces. The Q7 also comes with a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 engine that produces locomotive-like waves of torque.

Estimated resale value of the Audi Q7 is around 63.3% after 36 months and 44.3% after 60 months.

Infiniti FX

The Infiniti FX is based on the Nissan Z sports coupe, meaning it has the DNA of a tight-handling sports car. The Infiniti FX is a crossover SUV that is a little more stylish than most that you see on US roads. It also comes with either a 3.5-liter V6 or 5.0-liter V8 for true sports car performance.

With prices starting at $43,700 the Infiniti FX is a sport-luxury SUV with elevated levels of opulence and performance. The Infiniti FX has a resale value of around 58% after 36 months and 44% after 60 months.

Lexus RX

The Lexus RX may be smaller in size compared to the Q7 and the Infiniti FX but it it still a proper luxury SUV. It has a plush ride, a luxurious interior, an abundance of high-tech features, and is as reliable as death and taxes. no wonder that many people are lining up for the Lexus RX, especially considering that it only costs $39,310.

The Lexus RX has an estimated resale value 64% after 36 months and 43% after 60 months.

If you are looking to <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">lease a luxury SUV, you should try to get the latest leasing deals for the Audi Q7, Infiniti FX, and Lexus RX so you can compare which will provide you with more value for money.

If you are thinking about buying a new car, you should consider a vehicle with a modest resale value. This is also true if you want to lease a new car. Many people don’t even consider the future value of the car that they want to purchase. The truth is that buying or leasing a vehicle with decent residuals will not only give you lower monthly payments, but it also means that you can sell your old car for more money compared to other vehicles.

How Do they Determine the Residual Value?

The residual value will have something to do with vehicle desirability, build quality, and perceived customer value. A vehicle that is reliable, sturdy, and with less problems will also have a higher perceived value compared to other similar cars.

Honda, Toyota, and Lexus vehicles are one of the most reliable cars that you can buy. The same can be said for famed performance marquees such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

But in the land of the compact car, there are three brands that reign supreme over the rest. Here are the 2012 compact cars with the highest resale value according to <a href="http://www.kbb.com/"target"_blank">KBB.com.

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic is a natural. For many years, car reviewers from all over the world have consistently given the Civic high marks in terms of performance, reliability, and fuel economy. Honda made sure that Civic buyers are never devoid of choice by introducing 5 Civic models for 2012, including the Civic CNG that runs on compressed natural gas. Prices start at $15,755 for the Civic Coupe and $24,000 for the Civic Hybrid.

The Honda Civic continues to provide modest amounts of interior and storage space with a user-friendly cabin. The engine and transmission combination is still best-in-class, even though newer models such as the <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target"_blank">Chevrolet Cruze and the <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target"_blank">Ford Focus offer better driving dynamics.

Estimated resale value for the Civic is at 56.5% for 36 months and 41% for 60 months, among the highest in the class.

Mini Cooper

The reincarnated Mini Cooper was designed and engineered by parent company BMW, which also means that the new Mini has more space, better handling, and is even made more practical and fun to drive. The Mini Cooper is also sold in a wide array of body styles including a coupe, convertible, and roadster version.

Prices for the Mini Cooper starts at $20,200. Funky and avant-garde styling also comes standard.

Estimated resale value for the Mini Cooper is at 54.3% for 36 months, and 39% for 60 months.

Scion xB

The Scion xB is hard to ignore, not only because of the low price, but it is also roomy, spacious, durable, and highly customizable. Since the Scion xB is owned by parent company Toyota, you can expect similar levels of durability and build quality in each Scion vehicle that you buy.

The Scion xB starts at around $17,000. Perceived resale value is 58% at 36 months and 39% at 60 months.

Kelly Blue Book has been publishing their Official Residual Value Guide since 1981, and has helped American consumers find the top new cars with the highest estimated residual value since then.

Remember, you should carefully consider the estimated residual value of a new car, most especially if you are looking for a <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">new car lease.

Leasing a car with a high residual value will give you lower monthly payments. This is because the lease price will be based on the negotiated selling price (or MSRP) along with the residual value. Simply put, a car that depreciates less will provide you with more savings on your new car lease.

Here are the top 10 cars with the highest residual value for 2012:

1. Jeep Wrangler

With a projected residual value of 68% after 36 months, the Jeep Wrangler is also one of the best and <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">cheapest cars to lease, with lease prices starting at only $219/month.

2. Toyota FJ Cruiser

The FJ Cruiser is a robust off-road vehicle that has unique retro-styling cues, harking back to the original FJ40 Land Cruiser of the 1960′s. Resale value is estimated to be 67% after 36 months.

3.Toyota Tacoma

Toyota once again proves that the Tacoma is one of the best choices for a durable and reliable pickup truck. the Tacoma has an estimated residual value of 64% after36 months.

4. Hyundai Tucson

The Tucson is Hyundai’s entry into the compact SUV department. With gorgeous styling and a long warranty, the Tucson has an estimated residual value of 64.3% after 36 months.

5. Audi Q7

The Q7 is Audi’s first SUV, and it is a good one at that. It is sporty, stylish, and comes with Audi-levels of interior quality and refinement. The Q7 has an estimated residual value of 63.3% after 36 months.

6. Infiniti FX

It comes as no surprise that the CR-V is once again included in the list of cars with the highest residual value, which is estimated to be around 60.3% after 36 months.

8. Lexus RX

Here are some helpful tips that will help you obtain a <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">cheap car lease.

If you want to drive the best new cars without spending all your monthly earnings, then you should find an affordable car lease. Since you are basically paying for the depreciation (or the ‘use’ of the car), leasing will give you more affordable monthly payments compared to buying or financing a new car.

You can also lease a better car, and even lease an SUV for the same monthly payments as financing a smaller car.

Cheap Car Leasing Tips

Tip 1: Select a car that you can actually afford. As stated above, you can choose to lease a more expensive car and pay less compared to a new car financing loan. However, you should still lease a car that is within your budget range. Remember that the lease price will also depend on the MSRP or dealer invoice of the car. Leasing a more expensive automobile will give you higher monthly payments, negating any savings that you’d expect from a new car lease.

Tip 2: Select a vehicle with a higher perceived value at lease end. In short, you should focus your efforts on a vehicle with a higher resale value. Your monthly lease payments will also be dependent on how much the car will be worth when the lease term expires. Import brands such as Toyota and <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">Honda cars generally have a higher resale value compared to other brands. Luxury vehicles such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi vehicles also have high resale values.

Tip 3: Majority of new car lease deals require a down payment. This is to somehow reduce the monthly lease payments that you are going to make. You can pay a higher down payment and get lower monthly payments, but be careful not to pay too much down payment. If the car gets stolen or totaled in an accident, you will never get your down payment back.

Tip 4: Maintain a good, or at least average credit score. The lease deals that you see being advertised on TV and on the radio are reserved for buyers with a good or average credit score. Keep in mind that the money factor rate /interest rate on your car lease will be based on your average credit score. If you have good or average credit, then you can expect to qualify for the best new car lease deals in the market.

There are no secrets to new car leasing. Consider the tips mentioned above and you are on your way in finding a cheap car lease with low monthly payments and low interest rates.

The high cost of fuel is forcing car makers to think outside the box. Honda introduced the Civic Natural Gas and it was immediately crowned as the car with the cleanest internal-combustion engine on Earth.

General Motors has announced that they will begin selling a dual-fuel version of the Silverado and Sierra pickup truck. Chevrolet and GMC dealers will begin taking orders for a CNG and gasoline fueled version of the <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. This move is in response to the needs of business owners who want a more fuel efficient commercial vehicle.

Benefits of CNG or Compressed Natural Gas

Based on studies conducted by the <a href="http://www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/vehicles/natural_gas_emissions.html"target="_blank">U.S. Department of Energy, natural gas vehicles produce less harmful pollutants compared to a conventional gasoline or diesel engine.

Tests were performed on heavy-duty vehicles that utilized CNG for fuel. The results were staggering, as CNG fueled vehicles reduced nitrogen oxide emissions by 49%, and an impressive 84% fewer particulate emissions compared to a diesel engine.

Add to that the fact that natural gas costs 1/3 less than gasoline, and the benefits are now easier to understand. Vehicles that burn CNG are not only cleaner, but they cost less to operate as well.

Disadvantages of CNG

Most of the problems associated with CNG vehicles will have something to do with the installation and the quality of the parts used during the conversion process.

But the major disadvantages of CNG vehicles is the loss of trunk space and increase in weight. Since you will need to have a separate fuel tank to store the CNG fuel, small vehicles will have to contend with a smaller trunk and loss of storage space when equipped with a bi-fuel system.

There are no such problems with the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. The CNG tank will be positioned in the bed of the truck, and will have the capacity to store 17 gallons (or 64 liters) of compressed natural gas. Along with the conventional 36-gallon gasoline tank, the bi-fuel pickup trucks will have a maximum driving range of around 650 miles, or 1,000 kilometers.

Depending on your driving habits, the CNG-powered Sierra and Silverado pickup trucks are expected to save around $4,000 to $10,000 in fuel costs over a span of three years. This is good news for business owners or private individuals who are looking for a powerful, economical, and long range full size pick up truck.

The Cost

Fleet and retail customers can start placing their orders for the 2013 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD bi-fuel pickup truck beginning April 19, 2012. The Chevy and GMC bi-fuel extended cab pickup trucks are expected to cost $11,000 more than the standard gasoline-only version.

Would you like to lease a CNG bi-fuel GM truck? Will the potential fuel savings be enough to justify the higher cost? Auto insiders were asking the same kind of questions when hybrid vehicles were introduced in the beginning of 2000.

Hybrid cars are still here. Let us hope that CNG and bi-fueled vehicles have a bright future as well.

One of the secrets to <a href="http://www.carleasingsecrets.com/"target="_blank">cheap car leasing is to have a credit score of at least 640. If your FICO score hovers below 640, then here are 3 sure-fire ways to improve your FICO score:

1. Depending on the severity of your credit score, you should give it some time before you lease or buy a car. Of course, this will also depend on your needs. If you need a new car fast, then there is no problem with paying a little extra for the interest rate, but why not save yourself some money in the first place?

Think long term: 6 to 8 months is enough to fix your credit score. Those with a poor or bad FICO score should wait at least a year. There is no magic trick that will instantly improve your credit rating, but if you plan ahead and give yourself some time to somehow fix your credit rating, then you earn a chance to pay less on your car loan or car lease.

2. After planning ahead, it is now time to bring out your calculator or smart phone and do some number crunching. How much are you earning in a month? How much are your monthly and utility expenses? How much do you spend using your credit card? How many bills are past due? Are you buying stuff that you don’t need? Ask yourself these questions so you can determine how much you can actually spend, without pinching on food and other important items.

After doing all this, determine how much debt you owe and make a commitment to pay past due debt ASAP. A single past-due entry on your credit score will severely affect your credit rating. If you have a lot of debt, pay them in small monthly increments until everything is settled. Your mantra should be: pay debt before making any purchases.

3. Do not close out your credit cards–but you should only use the ones with the lowest interest rates. Check your monthly account balances and see which credit card is providing you with the lowest monthly charges. If you close out your credit cards, then your credit history will be affected as well, and this will not create a favorable impression among lenders and car leasing companies.

You will need discipline to improve your credit score. But when done right, you will soon find yourself driving home the car that you have always wanted–without breaking an arm and a leg.
