GAP insurance
An insurance that will pay the remaining lease in full if a leased car is stolen or is totally wrecked.

gas shocks
Shocks that use compressed gas to prevent oil foam.

GPS (Global Positioning System)
A system of satellites that broadcast signals that compatible and capable receivers can pick up to calculate a triangulated location.

gross capitalized cost
A purchase price on a leased vehicle.

gross combination weight rating (GCWR) (a.k.a gross combined weight rating)
The maximum allowable weight of a vehicle and its trailer if any.

gross trailer weight rating (GTWR)
The maximum weight allowable for a trailer and its cargo.

gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR)
The maximum allowable weight of a car, its driver and passengers and its load.

gymkhana
A usually timed contest to examine maneuvering capabilities of a car and its driver.
