early termination
End of a lease, usually ended by a buyer before the lease term ends.

electrochromatic mirror
A special rearview mirror that darkens, according to the brightness of light especially at night; adjusts automatically to avoid glare from car headlights coming from the rear.

electronic brake-force distribution (EBD)
An ABS (antilock brake system) that optimizes the brake force in each of the wheels of a car regardless of a car's weight and load.

electronic fuel injection (EFI; a.k.a. fuel injection)
A fuel system that provides better performance, higher fuel efficiency, and better emission efficiency performance, replacing the function of a carburetor.

Electronic Stability Program
Referring to a computer-controlled antilock braking system that keeps a car on an intended course and speed; similar to cruise control.

electronically-limited top speed
A speed limit that an onboard computer maintains and does not allow a car to exceed.

engine braking
Refers to the engine and its ability to slow down a car when in a lower gear.
